Syllabi

Depending on the flexibility of the course curriculum, I often theme my courses. I find this helps give students an umbrella under which they can explore topics relevant to their interests. I’ve received positive feedback on my themed courses from both colleagues and students. This feedback has encouraged me to investigate news ways of student engagement through course themes.

You’ll find several different syllabi below. They range from first-year writing to business writing to technical writing. These are not all my syllabi; they’re just the ones I wanted to highlight. All syllabi are accompanied with assignment sheets unless otherwise noted.
